Philanthropic Work
As the Vice President of Philanthropy for the Alpha Kappa chapter of Alpha Chi Omega during the 2023 term, I had the rewarding opportunity to combine leadership and community impact. This role honed my organization, time management, and event planning skills, allowing me to successfully coordinate six philanthropic events, including With Love, Alpha Chi, and Sundaes for DVA. Partnering with our local organization, Hope and Safety Alliance, we raised $5,000 to support domestic violence survivors. Collaborating with Interfraternity Council chapters, planning large-scale competitions, and hosting awareness events strengthened my communication, teamwork, and fundraising abilities while deepening my commitment to social responsibility.

Two standout events I organized as VP of Philanthropy were With Love, Alpha Chi and Alpha Chi Icon. For With Love, Alpha Chi, I created a Valentine’s Day-themed event where donors received donuts and could send personalized roses with handwritten notes to friends, promoting kindness and healthy relationships. Alpha Chi Icon was a larger-scale competition featuring fashion, talent, and Q&A rounds, where I recruited and trained participants from various Greek chapters, ultimately crowning a new “icon” for the sorority. These events were our main sources of donations, making a significant impact for our philanthropy.
